1. Scope of Application
These General Terms and Conditions apply to all orders placed through the Comfy Little Reads online shop at www.comfylittlereads.de.

2. Our Book Dates ♡
At Comfy Little Reads, you'll receive lovingly curated surprise book and gift sets, including Blind Date with a Book, Autumn Book Date, and Birthday Book Date.
The surprise element is an essential part of our Book Dates. The title and cover of the selected book will deliberately not be revealed before unpacking.
When placing your order, you can provide us with details about your reading preferences, such as genre, desired mood, no-gos, and your reading list. Based on this information, we will select the most suitable book for you.
The fact that you personally dislike the title, cover, or story after unpacking does not constitute a defect in the product. Your statutory right of withdrawal remains unaffected.
3. Reading List and Book Selection
We strongly recommend submitting your reading list, as complete and up-to-date as possible. This way, we can avoid selecting a book for you that you already know or own.
For books not on your submitted reading list, we cannot completely rule out a duplicate.
The final selection of the surprise book is made by Comfy Little Reads based on your specifications.
4. New and Pre-loved Books
Depending on the product, you can choose between a new and a used book.
Our used books are carefully checked before shipping and are in very good used condition. They have no notes, markings, bent pages, or significant defects.
A used book may have minor signs of age or wear, as long as they do not affect the described very good condition.
5. Little Extras and Product Presentation
Each Book Date is individually curated. Therefore, colors, designs, or types of stickers, bookmarks, sticky notes, markers, and other small extras may differ from the product photos.
Images are therefore partly examples. The described scope of the Book Date remains unaffected.
6. Order and Conclusion of Contract
The presentation of our products in the online shop does not yet constitute a binding offer of contract.
By completing the ordering process and pressing the corresponding order button, you place a binding order. After receiving your order, you will receive a confirmation by email.
The purchase agreement is concluded upon our confirmation of the order.
Before submitting your order, you can review and correct your details.
The contract language is German.
7. Prices and Payment
The prices indicated at the time of the order apply.
Due to the application of the small business regulation in accordance with § 19 UStG, no sales tax is shown.
Any additional shipping costs will be displayed to you before you complete your order.
Currently available payment options are displayed at checkout.
8. Processing and Shipping
Since each Book Date is individually compiled and packaged, our processing time is usually 2–5 working days.
We deliver within Germany and to the European Union countries available at checkout.

9. Birthday Book Date
You can have a Birthday Book Date sent either to yourself or directly to the recipient.
If the order is to be given directly as a gift, please enter the recipient's address as the delivery address.
A personal birthday message is optional. If you leave a message, we will include it on the accompanying Birthday Card.
Please ensure that the delivery address and personal message are entered correctly.
10. Right of Withdrawal and Return
Consumers are entitled to the statutory right of withdrawal.
All information on the 14-day withdrawal period, returns, refunds, and return shipping costs can be found on our Withdrawal & Return page.
The direct costs of returning the goods shall be borne by the buyer. If the goods are handled in a manner that goes beyond the necessary inspection and causes a loss of value, compensation for value may be due under the statutory provisions.
11. Damaged or Faulty Order
Should your product arrive damaged or an item be missing or incorrectly delivered, please contact us as soon as possible at comfylittlereads@gmail.com or using our contact form.
In the event of shipping damage, please send us a few photos of the packaging and the damaged items. This way, we can review the case as quickly as possible and find a suitable solution.
Your statutory warranty rights naturally remain in effect.
12. Retention of Title
The goods remain our property until full payment has been received.
13. Applicable Law
The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.
If you, as a consumer, have your habitual residence in another EU member state, mandatory consumer protection provisions of that state remain unaffected.
